This week Malta Red Cross Gozo Branch began its yearly Underwater Cleanup in several bays around Gozo and Comino. This project is entrusted to Gozo Red Cross by the Ministry for Gozo.

This entails in cleaning up the sea bed from litter like tyres, empty bottles and other debris to keep our local bays tidy and at the same time make them safer for swimmers.

Malta Red Cross Gozo branch also urges swimmers to dispose of their wastes in the bins provided in bays.
