The Malta Red Cross Team, Mr Etienne Micallef, General Secretary of the Malta Red Cross Gozo Branch, Mr Natal Falson, General Secretary of the Central Branch and Mr Audrick Plum, Combat Medic Instructor at AFM, landed in Malta with Lisa Gatt. The Mission lasted for 11 days. Later in the afternoon Lisa was then transported to Mater Dei Hospital with a Malta Red Cross Gozo Branch ambulance for further treatment.

Just landed in Dubai airport. Had a medical case in one of the passengers before landing. They did a good job in giving her medical aid.
2.30 pm

11.13 am (14.45 in Cambodia)
Malta Red Cross team on their way to the airport. Tomorrow they will arrive in Malta International Airport at 14.30 together with Lisa. She will then be taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment with a Malta Red Cross Gozo Branch ambulance.
04.45 am (9.45 in Cambodia)
The Malta Red Cross Team received the confirmation for the flight with Emirates Airlines. Today they will depart for the airport at 2.00pm (9.00am in Malta)
Thursday 23 April 2009 09.54 am (14.54 in Cambodia)
The Malta Red Cross team just finished a modified wheel chair for Lisa. It was a good idea that they took tools with them. At the moment the team with Lisa are staying in a Hotel in Bangkok. Audrick Plum was sent to Emirates to prepare for Lisa's flight back to Malta.
Wednesday 22 April 2009 10.38 am (15.38 in Cambodia)
The Malta Red Cross team got a new visa for Lisa Gatt. At this point in time they are back in Thailand. an IFRC courier met with the Malta Red Cross team at the border. Now heading for a 2 hour drive to another clinic to stay there for the rest of the day. There will do a medical, physiotherapy and new dressing would to Lisa. Tomorrow the team will leave for Bangkok.
Lisa is getting better and can do three paces with walking aids. Medications are being given to Lisa as agreed with Mr Alec Sultana. The Malta Red Cross team spirit is high.

Tuesday 21 April 2009 - 03.35 am
The Malta Red Cross Team left CT Clinic in Sihanoukville with Lisa Gatt in an ambulance. Now they started their journey back to Malta.
Monday 20 April 2009 - 14.05
In about an hour the team will reach its destination at CT Clinic in Cambodia were Lisa is recovered. The three paramedics are in an IFRC (Internation Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies) vehicle with a driver. The Malta Red Cross Mission to bring back Lisa to Malta was also reported in Cambodian local newspapers.

The Malta Red Cross Team arrived at Cambodia.
Start of Mission High Hopes. A team of three Red Cross Paramedics left Malta with all necessary equipment for Cambodia to bring back Lisa Gatt. The paramedics are to assist Lisa Gatt during her long journey back to Malta.:

The team just landed in Thailand. Next to start a long overland trip with Land Rovers to Cambodia.

Team of Malta Red Cross paramedics left Malta to start Mission High Hopes in Cambodia. The paramedics are:
Etienne Micallef: EMT instructor, SART instructor, DM IFRC (FACT)
Natal Falzon: EMTFR, SART instructor
Audrick Plum: EMT ( Combat Medic) RESCUE certified in various ops
They will repatriate to Malta Lisa Gatt, who was involved in an accident in Cambodia. She is now recovered in a clinic there.
